I attended Michigan State University as an undergraduate and Grand Canyon University for graduate school. I have a Bachelor Degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in Special Education with a triple endorsement for Learning Disabilities, Emotional Impairment and Cognitive Impairment. I have also been certified as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Coach. I am certified as a Mental Health First Aid Responder to better serve our high school students, as well as, a member of our Crisis Prevention Team and district School Improvement Team.

 

I have 2 daughters who are EDDIES alumni. Caitlin is a Michigan State Alumni where she interned with the Michigan Attorney General. She also holds a Masters degree in Psychology and works as a Behavioral Interventionist in a neighboring school district. Chelsea attends Trine University and has been on the President's list each semester. She is a college athlete and is majoring in Business Administration and Finance while holding an officer position in her sorority.

I have been married to my husband, Jason, for 24 years and we are proud residents of Edwardsburg.

We enjoy spending time on the lakes on our waverunner and traveling to Florida frequently.
