About the art program:
EHS offers several Visual Art classes including Art Fundamentals, Drawing and Painting, Advanced Art 1 and 2, and Ceramics 1, 2 and 3. Each class focuses on art terms and vocabulary, building skills in various mediums, learning new techniques, and learning about art criticism and aesthetics. Students will study artworks created throughout history in addition to learning about contemporary artists working today. Students create in-depth projects that showcase skills learned throughout the year. The combination of instruction, studio time and constructive feedback gives students the tools they need to confidently and effectively communicate their artistic vision.

Annual EMS/EHS Student Art Show:
The first annual student art show was a success! The show was held on 3/14/24 and was well attended by students and their families. The show was judged by a member of the Edwardsburg artist community and ribbons and gift cards were awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Attendees were encouraged to vote for their favorite artwork and the winners were awarded a gift card. This years art show date is TBD. All EHS art students are required to display at least one piece that was created during the year. Students are required to attend and will receive extra credit for any guests they bring to the show.
