| Dear Parents and Students, Edwardsburg High School is located in Southwestern Michigan and serves a socio-economic diverse population of approximately 840 students in grades nine through twelve. Our school is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and has received Blue Ribbon recognition by both the Michigan Department of Education and the United States Department of Education. We strive to provide our students with both academic and extracurricular experiences that will maximize their potential as learners and citizens. We constantly strive to provide our students with a wide variety of learning opportunities. In addition to traditional classes that include experiences in world languages, business, personal fitness and industrial arts, thousands of virtual classes are available to our students in our brand-new, state-of-the art Edwardsburg Early College. Our students may also elect to attend classes for college credit offered at Southwestern Michigan College or to attend classes at the Berrien County Math-Science Center located at Andrews University. Our students can seek career and technical training through opportunities offered at the Elkhart Area Career Center or they can participate in innovative academics offered by Berrien County in such areas as Health, Technology and Manufacturing. We have a highly regarded fine arts program that includes Art, Band, Choir and Drama experiences that are supported by a state-of-the-art 2.5 million dollar Performing Arts Center. We offer many club and activity opportunities including an athletic program that offers students the chance to participate in sixteen varsity sports. We have an inclusion program that supports our special needs students. We offer an Alternative Learning Program for students who require a non-traditional approach to learning. We take great pride in knowing our graduates are able to further their education at the college and university level. The positive academic and personal development of each student is our top priority. Some of our highlights from the 2011-2012 school-year include:
o First Division Rating at MSBOA Festival (all A’s)
o 27 events with 33 students performed at the High School District Solo and Ensemble Festival
o 6 events with 14 students performed at State Solo and Ensemble Festival
o 35 member voluntary PIT Orchestra for the spring musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”
